Labour Force Statistics
The Labour Force Survey is a monthly sample survey done, by Statistics Canada, to measure the status of the members in randomly selected households with respect to the labour market in the reference period, normally during the week containing the fifteenth day. This survey is comprised of three databases: Labour Force Unadjusted Estimates; Employment by Industry; Employment by Occupation. This survey provides estimates on labour market characteristics for the area, and identifies trends in the local economy.
