Leeds and Grenville Transportation Facilities One of the Counties' greatest advantages is the quality and variety of transportation facilities available to its industries and residents.
Highway 401 is a major multi-lane controlled access freeway that stretches over 500 miles (800 km) from Windsor (Detroit) to the Ontario-Quebec border. Further networks of well maintained two and four lane Provincial highways and Regional arterial roads provide excellent access to Highway 401 and other major points in Ontario and the U.S.
Leeds and Grenville lies within one day's trucking time of 120 million consumers and 53% of the North American industrial market.

The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway is an American-Canadian navigational project that provides a waterway and lock system along the St. Lawrence River connecting the Atlantic Ocean with the Great Lakes, and ultimately linking Duluth Minnesota/Superior Harbour. Together with the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence system provides 9,500 miles (15,285 km) of navigable waterways. The Seaway allows deep-draft ocean vessels access to the rich industrial and agricultural regions around the Great Lakes. It is one of the most important domestic and international transportation systems in the world, serving an area that includes nearly one third of the combined Canadian and American populations.
The Port of Prescott in Leeds and Grenville is located on the St. Lawrence River, 100 kilometers south of Ottawa and 200 kilometers west of Montreal. It is the largest agricultural port in the area with the only major grain elevator in the eastern Ontario(154,000 metric tones of storage) that handles dry bulk material. With direct access to rail and highways 401 and 416, and the Ogdensburg Bridge to New York State, it is also the only multi-model facility in the eastern Ontario available for public use licensed by the Canadian Grain Commission.
Overall annual tonnage was 517,664 metric tons in 2002. Of that 61,119 was grain, 278,342 was road salt and 178,203 was aggregate. The primary cargoes were grain and road salt inbound, and grain and aggregate outbound.

The Ogdensburg Airport is only 10 minutes across the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge. Operated by the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority, the airport handles jet aircraft up to 100 passengers.
Locally the Brockville-1000 Islands Regional Airport is centrally located in the United Counties and strategically positioned between the industrial parks of both the City of Brockville and the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley. It is managed by Brock Air Services under contract with the City of Brockville, and accommodates light cabin-class and twin engine aircraft. The Airport experiences 10,000 take-offs and landings per year. In addition to a number of light aircraft, which are permanently based at the facility, the Airport is regularly visited by business and charter aircraft, fixed wing air ambulances, as well as aircraft from local flight training schools. As a result of its location midway between Toronto and Montreal, it is a popular fuel stop for military and pipeline patrol helicopters. The runway was recently expanded by 1,000 feet, which increases the economic benefit to the region to as much as $2.5 million. Lengthening the existing runway to 4,500 feet allows the Airport to handle the mid-size, corporate jets operated extensively by Fortune 500 companies. The ability to land corporate jet aircraft is essential to both maintaining and growing the local industry, and to assist in attracting new industry to the region.
Other services of the Airport include: Canada Customs Port of Entry, aircraft refuelling, overnight parking for aircraft/automobiles, voice advisories for inbound and departing aircraft on 123.0 MHz, pilot activated runway and approach landing, dedicated snow removal equipment and a published instrument approach procedure allowing aircraft to descent to 587 feet above ground with a forward visibility of 1-3/4 miles.

| Water & Sanitary Sewer Services | Groundwater is the major source of potable water for residents. Of the population of 96,606, close to 67 percent of the residents are serviced by groundwater. Ninety-two percent of these residents are supplied from non-municipal private systems and the Ministry of the Environments records indicate that there are approximately 21,000 water wells in the County.
In the separated municipalities of Brockville, Gananoque and Prescott, both municipal piped water and waste water treatment plants serve residents.
Brockville's water supply comes from the St. Lawrence River. The City's single filtration plant filtrates, chlorinates and fluoridates the water before it is delivered to businesses and residents in the City. Sewage in the City is treated by a single pollution control centre which has a daily capacity of 21.8 million litres.
