 Emergency Assistance

EMERGENCY ENERGY FUND

RENT BANK LOAN FUND

The Rent Bank and Emergency Energy Fund Programs have been introduced by the Province of Ontario to address homelessness by helping to create housing stability amongst low income families.

If you live in Leeds and Grenville, are behind in your rent and facing energy disconnection and/or at risk of being homeless, you may be eligible for these emergency assistance programs.

Other Emergency Contingency Funds may be available for a range of sudden and unforeseen situations affecting health or life that require immediate measures to minimize adverse consequences.  Items that may be considered include:

        • food,
        • urgent medical needs,
        • transportation,
        • housing-related arrears and home repairs
          not covered by other programs.
