The United Counties of Leeds & Grenville in partnership with its Municipalities & Townships own and operate Mapleview Lodge a Long Term Care facility that houses 60 residents in Athens. The county also provides funding to St. Lawrence Lodge facility in Brockville which currently accommodates 240 residents.
Both Long-Term Care Facilities are operated in conjunction with the Provincial Government and must operate under standards determined by Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care with annual reviews to ensure these standards are maintained. Mapleview and St. Lawrence Lodge are also members of the Ontario Association of Non Profit Homes and Services for Seniors (OAHNSS).
