The Land Division Committee of the United Counties has been in effect since 1971 and is administered by the Secretary-Treasurer whose office is also located at 458 Laurier Blvd., in the Health Unit building. Lot creation by consent to sever is one of the more important functions of the United Counties by creating new home lots and farms across the landscape of Leeds and Grenville. The Land Division Committee is composed of five individuals representing the major sub-regions of the counties and processes between 160 and 180 applications per year. The separated municipalities of Brockville, Gananoque, and Prescott have their own Land Division Committees and all enquiries and applications within their jurisdiction should be addressed directly to them.
