Consolidated Verification Process
The Consolidated Verification Process (CVP) is a Ministry of Community and Social Services business process that provides a standardized approach for verification and eligibility reviews. The CVP mandate is to ensure that the participant is receiving the right amount of assistance at the right time.
The CVP Process relies on effective and structured business processes to ensure that performance targets will be met, and the workload is manageable for the CVP Team.
Most case files that go through CVP are completed within the recommended four week time frame (some case files are abbreviated, or the participants are providing the information within two weeks of the CVP interview).
- For a full review - the CVP Worker completes Part 1, Form 3, Rights and Responsibilities form and any additional forms and the participant is asked to read and sign the forms.
- The CVP Worker verifies all requested participant information and external information is in the CVP file before determining an outcome.
- There are five possible primary outcomes: No change, Overpayment, Arrears, Terminate & Terminate with overpayment.
